17 Critical River Basins
Basing on existing disaster data, the Program identified the most flood-prone and high-risk areas in the country to come up with an initial listing of 17 target critical river basins. Other priority areas, such as Infanta and Lucena, and cognate systems, like Iponan and Mandulog, were added to the list in the course of the implementation of the Program.
